Landing(from Nov. 25, 2017)

I wrote five hundred poems to win my love;

I called her Luffy-Duff and Lovey-Dove.

I saved up all my dough to make a flight

So we could see our eyes and hold us tight.

My passport’s in my hand, the schedule’s set;

A few more weeks to wait, l’ll get there yet.

The jet will roar and fly across the sea,

Where Luffy-Duff is looking up for me.

I’ll step out from the plane and see her sign—

My name on it, or just the glad word, MINE.

I’ll look and see the treasure of my heart,

And know my journey’s end has found its start.
