Chores (from Sept. 28, 2017)

I dreamed of doing chores with you,

And it was so much fun:

You kissed me twice, I kissed you thrice,

And our first chore was done!

The second chore was not a bore,

So closely did we cling.

We pressed so tight with loving might,

No need for ironing!

We loved our chores, our chores loved us,

And now, though worn, we’re fleet

To leap beneathe the covers soft,

The best chore to complete!
