Here I sit, blue sky above,
And think of you, my one true love—
My heart, my mind, in your control,
For l have given you my soul.
I show you all l am, will be,
I give you deepest strength of me,
And every poem I write says true
“I love but one, and she is you.”
Fair sun does rise—more bright your eyes;
Fair birds flap wing—your writ words sing!
All earth seems dull, while you surprise
With quick delight in everything!
You have my love, l have yours, too;
The sky has less, though all is blue.
Oh, blessed am I to have much more
Than any man has had before!
