The Age Of Love

Oh love, dear love, my love across the sea,
Please not be tired in waiting long for me,
But be you glad this last mad month runs by,
And all the world stands up to celebrate,
Ahead of time, the great Big Day—our date—
When we will see and meet and, loving, fall
In Beauty’s soft’ning shadow ray to ray,
Embracing arm in arm and soul to soul,
United, clad forever with Love’s May,
Ahead of time, our rosy lips the puffs
That push Winter into laughing Spring—
Ahead of time! Yes! For we are true
To leaping dreams inside of us that sing,
“The age of love is ever young for two!”
