I Want You

Your face next to mine,
Pressing, cheek to cheek;
Beauty, joy, all mine—
That is what I seek.

Do you want beauty, too?
Pressed from me to you?

Beauty felt through love,
Joy that’s dealt through skin;
Not frail dream above,
Real on earth to win.

I want feeling true,
Pressing me and you.
