This Life Of We

My luffy-duffy, lovey-dove,
It’s you I love and love and love!
Could I devise a thousand ways
To in your ears sing loving praise,
I would be Lord of living rhymes
Re-stating love so many times!
But I don’t need a Lord to be;
A poet, I, of you and me.
And yet, if I did write no thing,
You’d still be queen, and I, your king.
For we are great, with glad hearts free
To love and rule this life of we!
