Back To Bed

It rained all night;
…we both slept sound.
I woke at dawn;
…the sun came round.
I kissed you, light,
…right on your lips,
And you kissed me
…with fingertips.

Then clouds came back,
…it rained some more.
And we laughed loud
…at day so poor.
We coffee drank,
…loved poems I read.
We both gave thanks,
…went back to bed.
