You’ve darted me with love-darts,
You’ve javelined my soul,
You’ve pinioned me with joy-hearts,
You’ve bound me part and whole.

And now you gaze and wonder
As I am going under,
Why I have lost all sense of

Self-control!

I madly cry, “I love you!”
I twist within your fire;
Your love-laugh laughs above you
Till I am pure desire!

I want you, want you, want you;
None else will ever do!
You watch me panting toward you—-
At last, you’re panting, too!

Like Van Gogh’s swirling flowers
Our petal-arms fling round,
Till we fulfill love’s powers
In joyous joining wound!
