I, You

I, the happy moth
A-flutt’ring round your flame;
You, the light of life
That makes my wild tame.

I, the ocean strong,
That swells up to your door;
You, the simple song
That calms me evermore.

I, rambunctious day,
You, the sacred night;
We mingle, laugh and play,
And fill love’s eyes with sight.
