My Lady

My lady’s halo hair
(Oh, black and silver there!)
It is so very fair
I can but sigh.

My Lady’s eyes, serene
(Serenity, you’re seen!)
Clear black, not blue or green,
Where thoughts do fly!

My Lady’s lips—oh yes
(True lines of tenderness)
Await my pressed caress
When I come by!

My Lady’s heart of gold—
Be mine Be mine to hold!
For only love is sold,
And love have I.
