Kind Chores

My dear, my sweet, my luffy-duff,
Stay off your feet, get rest enough.
Relax your limbs, don’t worry none;
The chores will glad await new sun.

For chores, they need a rest day, too;
You wear them out with do-and-do.
Like bodies they need sit-down time,
And sitting still is not a crime.

Oh luffy-duff, my dear, my sweet,
Let Relaxation love your feet;
For Relaxation, he knows best
How off your feet will bring more zest.

Tomorrow comes, he always does;
And with new life your chores will buzz,
“Clarinda’s coming, we’ll get done,
And we’ll be kind, for she is fun!
