Brief, But Strong

We share the brief light minutes of our love
With laughter, caring, wit, our minds at ease.
We’re true to each with truth, give joy to please.
I am your lover-boy, and you, my dove.
Our loving wings sweep back and forth delight
Of sweetest speakings, thoughts of fragrant air,
Which deeply touch, so deep, and yet so fair
That up we’re laughing, soft in love’s strong might.
We share the brief light shinings of our fire
To gather all our sparks of starry mind
That zip and flash the hopes of our desire,
When hand is clasping hand in true-heart find.
Our sharing nights are brief, but love is strong;
The hours in between are soaring song
