Don’t Hesitate

Don’t hesitate to write me letters, dear;
Your deepest thoughts I’m always keen to read.
Your written words are rich and clean and clear;
Imbibing them, my drinking is great deed.
Like warm sweet liquid through my brain they stream,
From sentence unto sentence, smooth and sure.
My mind becomes the sunrise of their dream,
Which rises from their harmony so pure.
So write me letters, love, don’t hesitate;
I will not rate them lowly, nor dismiss.
Your moving mind is my dear smiling mate
And notes from you I make a note to kiss.
Yet need I not a finger tied with string
To pull my love in from remembering.
