Clarinda Day

Clarinda clouds are in the sky,
They’ve got no rain in store;
Just floating, floating softly by,
No lightning and no roar.

Clarinda flags are waving free,
There’s six of them, so near;
If there was really liberty
Clarinda might come here.

Clarinda streets are peaceful, too,
Few people and few cars.
The sun’s strong light comes shafting through,
While silent fade the stars.

Clarinda world is all around,
Though she is far away,
But where she is she’s safe and sound,
In my Clarinda day.
