I Want Poetry!

Just think, my dear, if poems were statues,
And I made them as fast,
And round the world were set to stand,
Too strong to be o’er-cast–
Then everywhere we traveled, dear,
You’d look yourself to see,
Though in dismay, I’m sure you’d say,
“But I want poetry!”
