Too Strong

True love, that is too strong to stop; love true,
That fills the living depths of me and you,
And shoots up bubbling to the sparkling top,
Where through our lips and eyes dart beams
Of dreams supremely joyful that we are,
Like sunlight’s kiss of sun and morning star
Which, seen by none, yet lasts forever, Dear,
As our love, too, will last forever here.
Oh, never, never, never will it end,
And never, never, never will it pale!
It steers on straight, strengthens round each bend,
And who would cross can’t with false words prevail!
Stand close! Upon our love-mount top ‘t will be
Impossible to stop us loving free!
