Assumption

To wild assumptions I do jump;
Assumptions jump on me!
We roll around, and twist, and bump,
In lumpy mystery!

Then tell me, love, where I go wrong;
Please straighten out my path.
To you, my dear, I do belong,
Though at my lumps you laugh.

Ha Ha! Hee Hee! Your laughter, see!
My lumps, it makes go down;
Assuming, dear, your love for me
Won’t leave me up-side-down!
