You energetic movements of our minds,
You leaping thoughts, like lightning, ever swift
To brighten us with glory of your gift,
Which back and forth and round us intertwines,
Increasing love and humor, caring sense,
Now sweet’ning through us feelings grown immense,
Then flying poems out over seas afar
To show us, though unseen, how real we are;
Oh, energetic self of lonely-hood,
How sharp and rare, how wond’rous is your good.
And we are here at ends of one wild plain,
Reflecting messages from mirrors held up tight,
Which pass all shadows made of lost, old pain,
To strike up loving darings of true light.
