Korla’s Honesty

Although my Korla’s very kind,
She’s very quick to speak her mind;
Her words do fly like wings of youth
To seek, and speak, the honest truth.
If I am slow, she let’s me know;
If I get lost, I pay the cost.
She sometimes zooms around so fast
I’m circled in a blinding blast.
And yet, believe, she’s patient, too—
I’ve time to gasp and breathe a-new.
Now once, I told her what to do
(Although not really meaning to),
And she with tongue did me so lash
I almost off my chair did crash!
When I explained, she nothing said
(Her silence panned me on the head!).
And still I love her quick sharp mind,
For honesty is truly kind.
