Oh, could I…

Oh, could I shout aloud my love for you,
The thunderstorm would quail from so much sound,
The tempests of the sea would break in two,
And all volcanoes run back underground!
The stars would crash together in delight;
The very sun blink off and on his might,
And all the mountains shift and dance about
From too deep hearing of so happy shout.
All nature, men and towns would leap to say,
“Today is truly a true Holiday!”
And children everywhere would dance and sing
For glad extension of this second Spring!
Oh, could I shout aloud my love for you,
E’en politicians would start to love what’s true!
