Giant Size

You are my life, my breath, my very all;
Without you, five foot eight would be not tall,
But now I walk the street in twelve inch heels,
And know a giant’s view and what he feels.
The world spreads out, more distance comes to me;
Things beautiful more pleasurable to see.
Each bud and opening flower I pass by
More freely sends a “Hi there!” to my eye.
The sky—stars, moon, clouds and sun—
Now seem grand opera that has just begun,
And so it is that I begin now, too,
And all because, my dear, because of you.
You are my dream made real, my vision’s height,
My inner soul that loves its giant light.
