Eclipse

Your brow is one true shine of fairest sweet;
Your words, though faintly, bear the sweetest sound;
In love with peace here, I am bare, complete,
And see all space around as joyful ground.
Horizoned far, in front of me you stand;
I wave, and you blow kisses with your hand.
I take them with my eyes and slowly rise,
Feel light as air and freer than freed skies.
All clouds have parted, the sun alone slants through;
He almost sings with love to conquer you.
At once sing I this cooling, quiet song,
“You’re my beginning, that end where I belong.”
I step, and you are smiling, oh, so near,
The sun has now no choice but disappear.
