You Are The Reason

Love makes the mind keep ‘wake, lets it not sleep;
Or, rather, love-in-longing, from down deep.
Oh, so deep, so far down distant years,
Comes this in me for my whole life-long want.
Oh, giant want, freed from iron won’t,
Self-stranger, comes to me in tears,
The youngest friend of my deep depth my own,
And I know now myself my one whole true.
Yea, I breathe, breathe breath much sweeter grown,
Because, my love, because, because of you.
You are the reason that I love—to live;
I live for my new love, to you to give;
And, chainless, breathing fair impossibility,
I take in all the love you give to me.
