Here and There

The wind of love,

Around, above,

Then you—-there.

The bluebirds flew, fair, true,

Touched my eyes,

And there—-you.

Dandelions sprang!

Rivers sang!

You, where?

My hands reach,

My lips touch,

Imagined you.

Oh, here and there,
So far apart,
Yet you are here
Within my heart.

Imagination is too weak
To make so real
The you I seek.

Then there and here
I must combine
Till Here! and Here!

Make you all mine!
