Your lit, full lips…

Your lit, full lips in pictures of you shown,
Your dark, kind eyes through glasses perfect, clear,
Your sweet round nose and gently rounded chin,
Are all the features I would like to win,
And yet, is there out-left one tender ear—
Must lay so fair where Chopin’s notes are known.
Your waterfall dark hair so hides your head
I swear, I watch a world of dream, instead!
Pictures lie? Nay! Yours is truth.
I look, look close—love’s objectivity—
Find outward glaze of sweet, in-glowing youth
Where all does second the peerlessness you be.
O spirit of most precious thing I know,
O Life of Life! Princess, I love you so!
