I Stand And Worship

I stand and worship.

The spark you were, the flame you are, the light you’ll be.

I stand and worship you.

Your eyes are like a darkness so, so bright
The day must hid itself from night’s great light.
Your lips are like those flowers blooming, where?
Where no one looks because they are not there.
Your cheeks, your brow, your chin—what’s like these?
Lost treasure hunters know, lost, upon their knees.

I stand and worship you.

Your spirit in your body, desire in hands and feet,
The loves you move through you to mold, complete;
This sacred you is you, unique, unified, whole,
As I am I, who found the beauty in your soul.

I stand and worship.
