Endlessly

Oh, could I pen a poem for you each day,
Sweet feathered words to fan your ears with May,
Then might my winging heart be joying Spring
To have each day more reason more to sing.
I could, I can, I do! I think your name
And paper fresh and clean lies on my knee!
I see your face, and pen propels my hand
To run out ink like flowing stream to sea!
Your beauty and your character command
Self-centering to center me in you,
And to myself I always will be true.
Yes, I can pen a poem for you each day,
And I can wing out words of fanning May,
For “endless love” is all I have to say!
