For More

If life was meant to easy be,
Sun always bright for easy see,
If nothing ever barred the way,
And no path ever led astray,
Then what would mind and will be for
If you were never asked for more?

It’s more of courage, more of fight,
More of thought to do what’s right,
To face a challenge, pierce it through,
With all the best you’ve got in you.
For what would mind and will be for
If you were never asked for more?

The time is coming, might be near,
When through vast darkness you must steer;
When victory seems oh, so far,
And dawn is just a fading star.
Then what will mind and will be for
If you don’t ask yourself for more?
