Clouds I have wandered with over the earth,
Clouds of my boyhood when I, looking up,
Felt one massive motion, sublime and serene,
As I lay on the grass and watched, without dream,
Just feeling you move ever surely through air.
My brothers, my brother, or many, or one,
My lovely companions, not old, ever new,
Here, though now sitting, I’m moving with you.
Breath of you lightning, rolled thunder your word,
The joy that is in me has breathed you and heard.
Kisses you’ve given, though now you give none,
O, you’re inside me till everything’s done.
Done, won, and cherished, as I, in self seen,
Am one single motion, sublime and serene.
