Devout

The trees are bare, all trees, all where;
The rocks with mist do glisten.
Yet harsh is sweet and silence shouts
Through lovers true there smitten.

Her lips are cold and his seem old,
So icy is the weather;
Yet hearts not harsh in arms devout
Bring all spring’s joys together.
