The Merchant of Mars, by Ron Pisaturo

The Merchant of Mars is a powerfully dramatic adventure story of triumphant human reason, successful moral drive, and sheer limitless genius in the overcoming of great physical obstacles and malicious evil. There is no unnecessary padding here; the writing is terse and clear and pointed. The heroes and heroines are rational and non-tragic. The villains are nasty. This is a story of the future—for self-responsible men who choose to be giants merely by choosing to act freely on their own best judgment, while the evil of environmentalism and selflessness is shown to be just that—evil. Man, earth, Mars, space—won for number one!
