Nay!

Oh, you higher climate-change denier,
You higher fiery one, you good great man,
You ban the total state, its total hate,
Its hate-crime ‘gainst all independent souls!
You name its ill intent, convict its speech,
Impeach its evil heart with your hard “Nay!”
They stop, blink eyes, spin round about
(They hoped real men were dead, but now they doubt).
Again, trembling: “Who climate change denies
We will destroy with might is right.” Then, “Nay!”
Their mikes are cut, won’t work. “Nays” rise,
From left and right, louder, stronger, “Nay!”
They squeak, they squeal, they twist and trip and run,
And “Nay!” arises, follows, stuns like sun!
