Hate That’s Right

That Jesus said to love your enemy,
But he was absolutely wrong.
Your foes, they want to destroy you;
Your love for your life must be strong.

The hatred of evil is right,
Such hate comes from love of the true—
Your life must be lit with the light
That burns in the spirit of you.

What’s evil would seek to put out
The radiant glow of your soul;
That’s why you must righteously hate
Each murderer’s evil-meant goal.

That Jesus said to love your enemy,
But he was absolutely wrong.
