Pride

Pride, if weak men say
You must slouch and hide,
Cast their wish away—
Denied.

Pride that’s truly earned,
Self-esteem that rules,
If not praised, is spurned—
By fools.

Bow you not for they
Envious of height;
Leave them where they lay—
So slight.

    Wonderful poetry. Wise assembly of words.
