Adventure

Joy, where shines thy light?
Where sweep thy wings?
“Child, your face is bright;
Your spirit sings.”

Courage, where’s thy will?
Strength, where’s thy soul?
“Child, you’re up the hill,
Alone and whole.”

Hope, where can thou be?
Darkness is drear.
“Child, no mystery
Stops you with fear.”

Love, doth stand or fall?
And where’s thy kiss?
“Child, hear mother’s call,
She Day does miss.”
