“What?!” the man exclaimed, “you don’t believe in God? You don’t believe in anything?”

I looked him straight in the eyes and said, “I believe in justice.”

“What? That blind-folded woman who can’t see what’s going on? Come on, get real!”

“No, not her. My woman of justice stands with eyes wide open, unflinching, seeing into the depths of all you are, weighing, judging, each and every choice you’ve ever made for or against your own one life. But most of all she sees the total sum of al your days, and at the last, damnation gives, or praise.”

“Bah! I don’t have time for all that mumbo jumbo.”

“No. You don’t. Your time is up.”
