Effort, work, and strain and stress,
Build the house of Happiness;
Strive and pull and tug and ply
Shoot a man across the sky;
Toil and sweat, intensest thought,
Speed to goals he’s grandly wrought;
Strain and toil, battle, fire,
Spur him rising, not to tire,
Lifting him through dark to light,
Standing on his finished height.
He alone reflects the sun
Who wills his effort till he’s done.
