My Dear

My Dear,
I offer you the earth within this flower;
The sea is in my sparkling, happy tears;
This moment’s an eternity of hours;
The great high sun right through my eye appears.

My dear,
I give spring’s breezes with my wholesome laughing;
My pulses summer’s thunderstorms do give;
My hands are all the planets round thee dancing;
My kisses—but the reasons that I live.
