Oh Highest E’s

Oh widest o’s, oh rising a’s,
Oh highest e’s, you have my praise.
Although no word around you grows,
Your upward soaring seals my days,
And I arise on wings of song
That through her window wander strong,
For she the singer scales the height
And brings me beauty every night.
Her widest o’s, her rising a’s,
Lend easiness to my long days;
Her highest e’s complete the scroll
That in my eyes is dimly whole.
And while in darkness sit I still
To dream what’s on the blurry hill,
Her voice conveys a picture clear
That, though near blind, I perfect hear.
Oh widest o’s, oh rising a’s,
Oh highest e’s, you have my praise!
And as you soar, so soar I, too,
And this great world is in my view!
