My verses swirl around and ’round,
They hit my girl, and back they bound;
And from her lips to ears of mine
Sail loving trips of “Valentine!”
The windy air, it catches, too,
And whips my verse into the blue!
A passing plane is flashing back
Bright signals of my Val-attack,
And every branch on every tree,
While waving “V” to her and me,
Is catching birds that stop to rest
And sing the songs that each knows best.
The grass on ground is waving, too,
Though naught of song does it pursue,
And yet V-soft springs ’round our feet,
And all way down we feel complete.
My verses swirl around and ’round,
They hit my girl, and back they bound!
