I Didn’t Say “Bye”

You wrote me a letter that said, “Goodbye”,
But I, I didn’t say “Bye” to you.
I boarded a plane and I did fly,
And here am I saying “Hi” to you.
It’s possible—not—to turn me ’round;
I’ll round again to press you near.
I shan’t deny you’re the best I’ve found,
Although true love is the thing you fear.
Give up, oh, give up, and say you’ll be mine;
Forget betrayal; Oh, that I’ll not do!
Look up to the future and trust the sign
That swings “I win!” in skies all blue!
You wrote me a letter that said, “Goodbye”,
But I, I didn’t say “Bye” to you.
