Ayn Rand

Today’s the day we celebrate
The one who put herself in “great”.
She felt no fears and had no fate,
But saw one end as her true friend—
Heroic soul that would not bend,
With worshipping from in her sent
To man ideal, in fact made real,
His mind intransigent as steel,
With sacred justice his appeal.

Her radiant words are with us still,
Her brilliant books of joyful will,
And most of all, her thoughts, that fill
The universe with such glad fire
New moral man is lifted higher
To glory in his self’s desire.
Man’s mind—his reason—she proved great,
And that is why we celebrate
Ayn Rand, Ayn Rand! and her great state!
