The Dark came Sliding…

The dark came sliding in so silently
That we were unaware of its first touch.
Yet round us all is soft and shadowy,
All ready for our kissings overmuch.
We fill the early night with happiness—
Our breaths together woven, feathering,
While Passion lies out patiently to bless,
A-waiting will-of-mind to press and cling.
If fast or slow goes Time, we do not know;
We have no need to rush it down to naught,
But are at peace here in full love a-glow,
Content for all the daylight we have fought.
The dark came sliding in so silently
That we were unaware of its first touch.

    Nice, Brian. A world of loving. Short and breathful.
