Great-Souled Woman

Great-souled woman,
Shining splendor,
Independence
Won’t surrender.

Eyes her heroes,
Grasps their power,
Strides up to them,
Will not cower.

Into battle
Now they’re going;
Those who hate men
Plot their slowing.

Heroes bend them,
Break asunder;
She, too, grabs them;
Heroes wonder.

Stands she equal,
Thinks her thinking;
Judges evil,
Sends it sinking.

Great-souled woman,
Shining splendor,
Righteous triumph
Won’t surrender.

Head uplifted,
Reason guided,
Loves her living
Undivided.
