Apollo

At the shrine of Logic stands the smith,
Who hammers with contentment on his sword.
He sharpens it for argument and myth,
Then draws it back for battle with a word.

The flash of it gives glory to the night,
And no one dreads to see who lives to stand.
The morning laughs to feel vibrating light
As eyed Apollo strikes across the land.
